Good night from Amsterdam, NL

Hi everyone,

Just earlier today I saw a RT on twitter about this forum and I thought: "Why not join?" So here I am, joining. I'm usually not very active on forums, but the least I could do, is introduce myself, right?

I enjoy all types of music (classical, Leonard Cohen, Janis Ian, Bruce Springsteen) ... but here’s a bit about how I got to know & like the music of Dave Hause.

In 2011 I went to the Revival Tour in Amsterdam – just to broaden my musical horizon a bit – and had no idea what to expect. I didn’t know any other name on the bill than ‘Brian Fallon’, although I never saw him perform before either. I enjoyed the entire concert (and the beautiful venue as well: a church called ‘De Duif’ (The Dove)), and was especially blown away by the songs of this guy named ‘Dave Hause’. I bought the Revival Tour Album, and at some point googled a bit and found out this guy had a record out called Resolutions. Bought that one and really enjoyed it. Saw him when he opened for the Gaslight Anthem (first time I saw that band) and then a while later when he had a solo show, both times in Amsterdam as well.

Then Devour came out and that one just blew my mind. I don’t know why and how, but it struck a chord. So, needless to say: I can’t wait for next week when he performs in Amsterdam again.
