I will go to Düsseldorf tonight to see the amazing Tim Vantol and I thought maybe here are some people who don't know him yet. So I'm introducing him to you!
I may be wrong, but I guess the band doesn´t have a name. For the shows, it´s Tim Vantol (solo) or Tim Vantol & Band (with full band).
I saw him first time (solo) opening for Dave Hause in Bremen last year, and full band this year in Hamburg. Both gigs were pretty good, but the show with full band was the most fun. I used to love the banjo!

Yep. Tim Vantol is great! Like Frank Turner from Holland ! I was checking out bands from a festival in Belgium called Groezrock. Saw his name and thought "that sounds familiar somehow" (propably something Chuck Ragan related or something like that). Listened "Four Wheels and A Six String" and was immediately hooked. 'If we go down..' is propably my most listened record of this year. And at least on his last "full band tour" his band was called The Misprints if Im correct...

Ah right. So it's a Sleeping Souls type thing rather that Hot Water Music type thing? Either way I'm really impressed with his stuff. Ok going interrailling for a month at the end of August, hopefully I can't route this around seeing him.

The band is called Tim Vantol & The Misfits. But he does not take the band everywhere. Last year he joined Chuck on Groezrock for (if i remember well) 'Do You Pray'. This year he played his own set with his band. Rocky Votolato , John Coffey and The Flatliners joined him for the song ' If We Go Down, We Go Down Together'.

To my knowledge The Misprints played with him that whole spring tour. I remember seeing in his Facebook page that he was looking a guitar player and a drummer to start a permanent backing band. I think its great and Im always hoping that Mr. Hause would do the same. At least do a one Euro tour with a band or something like that....
