Great show in Amityville last night. The venue is small and holds only around 150 people and it was only about 1/2 full. There was a lot of interaction with the Dave & the crowd, more than any other show I've been to. He apologized repeatedly to the singer of the local opening band "The Old Ironsides", for missing his set, and tried to get him up on stage to play a song. He also tried to get people to name "Nü Sing" and there were some...interesting...suggestions. He was completely solo for this show but Dave Walsh and Chris Gonzalez from the Loved Ones were in the crowd.
There was no written setlist, so I wrote it down as he went along: Damascus Melanin Autism Vaccine Blues Time Will Tell Same Disease Pray for Tucson Prague ("The All Brights" song - he didn't say the title) Father's Son (with: The Message/Jane/Trusty Chords) Nü Sing C'mon Kid Reolutions We Could Be Kings The Shine
Of course, the highlight of my night was this...
How amazing to meet you both and in my home town of all places! (actually, I'm from Massapequa...which Susan & Antje should appreciate ) I was so surprised they were there I could hardly think of what to say! Enjoy the rest of your time in the U.S. and the next two shows!

Was he going for the record of how many songs can you fit inside another song with Father's Son? Jesus. Not that I'd complain because those are some great songs!

Haha...there were a far more reasonable number at last night's show in Northampton.
Again, no written setlist so I wrote it down as he went along... Damascus Melanin Autism Vaccine Blues Time Will Tell Same Disease Pray for Tucson Happy Hour (<-- This is the All Bright's Song he's been playing, not sure if he mentioned the name at the CT or RI shows). Father's Son (with: The Message) --segue--> Trusty Chords (full version) Pretty Good Year Prague The Great Depression Resolutions
It was a weird vibe, very mellow because there was no open floor. Everyone was sitting at tables and chairs (I got there late, fortunately Susan and Antje saved me a seat right up front). It was very...odd, I don't think I've ever had an experience like that at a concert, it felt more appropriate for a comedy club or something like that. However, Dave's performance itself was great. He had some great interactions with the crowd (like when he embarrassed the "book club", who was talking loudly through his entire set, into leaving) and seeing him play a full version of Trusty Chords was a first for me. Plus I got to see Susan and Antje again, so obviously it was a great night

That's a bummer that one of the few times he played trusty chords all the way through, it was a seated venue.
He also played it all the way through in Providence and this show was the closest to what you get in Germany... Never heard him play the wohle song before and now two times in a row!
